Which Payment Methods Are Accepted by ConsulHosting?

ConsulHosting supports several payment methods, ranging from one-time payments through iDEAL | Wero to automatic payments by SEPA Direct Debit. This article explains which payment methods ConsulHosting accepts, whether they support automatic payments, and which transaction fees may apply.

Which payment methods can I use?

1. iDEAL | Wero

iDEAL | Wero is a popular payment method in the Netherlands that allows you to pay invoices directly through your bank. This payment method cannot be used for automatic payments.

2. Bancontact

Bancontact is a popular payment method in Belgium that allows you to pay invoices directly through your bank. This payment method cannot be used for automatic payments.

3. Credit card

ConsulHosting accepts credit cards issued by Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. Credit cards can be used for both one-time and automatic invoice payments.

Automatic credit card payments are processed seven days before an invoice’s due date. If a payment fails, a maximum of two additional attempts will be made.

4. Bank transfer

You can also pay ConsulHosting invoices by bank transfer.

Note It may take up to three business days for a bank transfer to be received. We therefore recommend making the transfer at least five days before the invoice’s due date. This helps prevent your service from being suspended unintentionally.

5. SEPA Direct Debit

SEPA Direct Debit allows invoices to be paid automatically from your bank account. To prevent fraud, this payment method is not available to every customer. You must meet at least the following requirements:

In addition, our system must not have detected any indications of potential fraud or incorrect customer information. Once you meet the requirements and SEPA Direct Debit becomes available, you will receive an email.

Automatic SEPA payments are collected ten days before an invoice’s due date. If a payment fails, no additional attempts will be made. Any costs resulting from the failed payment will be charged to you.

Note A SEPA payment may take between ten and fourteen days to be fully processed. Keep the invoice’s due date in mind. If a SEPA payment fails at the last moment, your service may be suspended unintentionally.

6. PayPal

PayPal can be used for both one-time and automatic invoice payments.

Which transaction fees does ConsulHosting charge?

ConsulHosting does not charge transaction fees for payments made through iDEAL | Wero or Bancontact. This prevents unexpected additional costs and encourages the use of payment methods with lower costs and risks.

The transaction fees for credit card payments, PayPal, and bank transfers are based on the actual costs associated with these payment methods. This keeps the costs transparent and allows you to make an informed choice.
