How to Get Your Domain Transfer Code or EPP Auth Code
Published on July 27, 2026
Do you want to transfer your domain name from ConsulHosting to another provider? In most cases, you will need a domain transfer code. This is also known as an EPP code or authorization code. Your new provider uses this code to initiate the transfer. In this guide, we explain how to request the domain transfer code through the ConsulHosting client area.
Note Only share the domain transfer code with your new provider. Before initiating the transfer, also disable any transfer lock (domain lock) on the domain.
Requesting the Domain Transfer Code
- Log in to the client area.
- Open the Domains page.
- Click the domain name for which you want to request the transfer code.
- Scroll down to the Management section.
- Click Transfer/EPP Code.
- Click Request Code.
- Wait for the domain transfer code to appear.
- Copy the domain transfer code and provide it to your new provider to initiate the transfer.
Tip Requesting the domain transfer code does not automatically transfer or cancel your domain name. You must initiate the transfer through your new provider.
