How to Add a Subuser to Your Minecraft Server at ConsulHosting

Published on July 29, 2026

Want to give someone else access to your Minecraft server without sharing your own login credentials? Add that person as a subuser in the game panel. You decide which parts the subuser can view and manage. For example, you can grant access to the console, server files, or backups. The subuser then logs in using their own account. In this guide, we explain how to add a subuser and how to change or revoke their access later.

Add a Subuser

  1. Log in to the game panel and go to your Minecraft server.
  2. Open the Users page.
  3. Click New User in the top-right corner.
  4. Enter the email address of the person you want to add.
  5. Select the permissions you want to grant the subuser. You can select individual permissions, enable all permissions within a category, or click Select All Permissions.
Note Only grant a subuser the permissions they need. Some permissions allow the subuser to change settings, delete files, restore backups, or manage other subusers.
  1. Click Invite User in the top-right corner.

The subuser receives an invitation by email. If the person is being added to a server as a subuser for the first time, they must first use the email to set up an account. The subuser can then log in directly to the game panel by choosing An invited user. They do not need an account in the client area.

Tip Didn’t the subuser receive the email? Ask them to check their spam folder and make sure you used the correct email address.

Change a Subuser’s Permissions

  1. Open the Users page in the game panel.
  2. Click Modify permissions next to the subuser.
  3. Enable or disable the desired permissions.
  4. Scroll down and click Save.

Remove a Subuser

  1. Open the Users page in the game panel.
  2. Click the red delete icon next to the subuser.
  3. Click Yes, remove subuser to confirm.
